We’ve Launched!

We launched our inaugural Young Tech Leaders summer program on July 10 and had a fantastic first weekend of sessions with the cohort.

• Irene Hillman hosted a workshop on why values matter for leadership, demonstrating the importance of organizational values and value alignment through a group activity, and encouraging the fellows to discover their own personal values.

• Meltem Naz Kaso Coskun debuted our human-centered design curriculum, introducing the fellows to the human-centered design framework and diving into strategies for the “Ideation” phase, such as needfinding and interviewing users.

• Michelle Lee led a workshop on how to build strong teams, drawing from academic and business research to make the case that psychological safety—rather than talent, experience, skills, or personalities—is the key ingredient of high-performing teams.

• Irene Koo hosted a mid-week social night, inviting the fellows to share their highlights and failures of the month, and challenging them to a home scavenger hunt.
